‘The Schwings Band’ – the energy of jazz, uniting eras and continents!

A Christmas miracle – the energy of jazz is coming to Visaginas! ‘The Schwings Band’ invites you to immerse yourself in music where the elegance of the past meets the rhythm of today.

Multi-instrumentalist, composer and the band’s creative force, Remis Rančys, presents one of Lithuania’s most prominent jazz ensembles. Active in Vilnius since 2011, the band masterfully revives the golden age of jazz from the 1930s and 1940s, complementing the traditions of classic swing and New Orleans-style jazz with an original, contemporary sound.

Over the course of fifteen years, ‘The Schwings Band’ has become a favourite on the Lithuanian jazz and lindy hop scenes and has established itself on the international music stage. The band performs throughout Europe – from Scandinavia to the shores of the Mediterranean – captivating audiences with their infectious energy and the highest level of musical mastery.

The band has put together a special programme for this concert: it will feature upbeat tracks from their latest album, *Jackfruit*, alongside time-tested classics that have become the band’s signature sound.
