International Sports Games for People with Disabilities for the Visaginas Mayor’s Cup

On 1–2 August 2026, Visaginas will host the 19th International Sports Games for People with Disabilities, competing for the Visaginas Mayor’s Cup. The traditional event is organized by the Visaggalis Sports Club for People with Disabilities.

The games will take place at the Visaginas Verdenė Gymnasium Sports Ground (Taikos Ave. 21). Over two days, athletes from different countries will compete in a variety of individual and team events for the Visaginas Mayor’s Cup.

Programme:

• 1 August, 10:00 – Opening Ceremony;
• Sports competitions throughout both days;
• 2 August, 14:00 – Award Ceremony and Closing of the Games.

The competitions will include boccia, archery, tennis ball throw into a target ring, darts, horseshoe throwing, basketball free throws, air rifle shooting, and sport knife throwing.

Everyone is welcome to attend! Visitors will have the opportunity to watch the competitions, cheer on the athletes, and learn more about adaptive sports. If time allows after the official competitions, spectators will also be invited to try some of the sports themselves.
