Acoustic Concert in the Gardens of Visaginas: Jausmė

“From Pavasaris to Visaginas — strawberry moustaches; from Visaginas to Pavasaris — culture.”

This is how a new initiative begins — a series of experimental acoustic concerts taking place in the gardens of Visaginas.

This time, the gardens will welcome Jausmė — a distinctive singer, songwriter and composer with a unique style and powerful voice. In her music, she uses kanklės, the traditional Lithuanian string instrument, in an unconventional way, creating a modern sound with jazz influences.

The combination of a strong voice and 29 kanklės strings creates a special atmosphere where sounds reminiscent of nature blend with music, inviting listeners to connect with the surrounding environment.

Jausmė spent more than five years creating and performing in England, where she collaborated with the BBC, before returning to Lithuania. Inspired by native forests, people and their stories, she released the album “Namolio”, dedicated to returning to her roots.

She has performed in New York, Montreal and across Europe, and in 2022 became a superfinalist of the Lithuanian edition of X Faktorius.

About the Concert

The concert will take place outdoors in the gardens of Visaginas, creating a cosy and simple atmosphere with live acoustic music and a campfire.

Parking spaces for cars are limited, so visitors are encouraged to arrive by bicycle or join the group walk to the gardens.

At 19:20, the group will leave from “Idilė” and walk together to the concert location. The concert starts at 20:00.

Bring a mat, blanket or something comfortable to sit on. Please make sure not to block the access roads to the gardens.
