“Next stop: Visaginas” Photography Exhibition – The City Through Photographers’ Eyes

“Next stop: Visaginas” is a photography exhibition organised as part of a project by the Visaginas Public Library and the Visaginas Tourism Development Centre. The project invites visitors to look at Visaginas through the art of photography and rediscover the city’s uniqueness, beauty and distinctive atmosphere.

The aim of the project is to promote photography, increase awareness of Visaginas and encourage tourism. The Visaginas photographers taking part in the project present the city from different perspectives — its architecture, nature, people, everyday life and unexpected urban spaces.

Ten photographers from Visaginas are taking part in the project:

Each photographer reveals a different side of the city, allowing visitors to see Visaginas not simply as a place on the map, but as a living, creative and ever-changing city.

Photography That Travels Beyond Visaginas

Based on the works of the participating photographers, various promotional materials are being created to showcase Visaginas. These include a collection of postcards featuring views of the city, a promotional video and photography exhibitions.

The project helps bring images of Visaginas beyond the city itself, introducing the city to visitors from Lithuania and abroad and inviting them to discover Visaginas from a new perspective.

“Next stop: Visaginas” encourages creativity within the local community, strengthens the city’s identity and shows that Visaginas can be rediscovered — even by those who have visited before.
